7) A Rose for You – Pattern by Nancy Kerns Required For Each
Student, 1 or 2 Day Class
Original design by Nancy, developed for class at the Appliqué Academy in
2005. Now available for workshops. Can be taught as a one day or two day. The
longer class will give a bit more stitching time. Otherwise, most of the one day
class time is taken up with demonstrations.
This class is for the intermediate to advanced student, and will focus on the
selection of the shaded fabric petals for the flower to achieve a realistic
look, using batik fabric. Preparing and using a window template, using the clear
transparency overlay for placement, and accurate placement, are all part of the
class.
